Hydromotive Props set another World Record!!!!!!
Congratulations to Paul Nichols and Cooper Jones on breaking the current Bass Boat Record Run of 652 miles from Paducah, KY to Knoxville, TN. The record was crushed using a Bullet 21 XDC, a Mercury 300 Pro XS and a Hydromotive Engineering 32” Quad IV X O/B SST propeller. The 11+ hour gruelling run included traversing 9 locks and several fuel stops. That did not deter Paul and Cooper from breaking the old record by about 1 1/2 hours and averaging 88+ mph while on the water. Paul later said the boat, motor and prop performed flawlessly.
You can see a nice collection of photos from their record-breaking journey on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hKtO_Yu-Hwo
Mr Alpay Akdilek and his racing team the Flying Champions have won the 2nd leg of the 2008 Turkish & World Cup Offshore Races. They made this achievement using Hydromotive propellers. Congratulations on your win from all of us @ Team Hydromotive!

I am Stelios from Athens Greece, that we bought a couple of props last
year. To remind you, we produce the Scorpion range of ribs:
www.ribcomarine.com
We are preparing a boat to participate in the 2008 Round Britain race
www.roundbritainrace.co.uk

The boat is a 10m inflatable with twin Verado 300. We just launched the
boat, and the best props that we tested was a pair of Intimidator Quad IV
22 pitch standard.
We are missing 200RPM.
Questions
1. What you suggest to get those 200RPM.
2. How long it will take you to prepare a new pair of props and sent them
to Greece - the boat will leave Greece on the 20th of May.
Waiting your Reply
Best Regards
Stelios

As published in: Article 6/2005 issue Bass & Walleye Mag.
At the 225hp. motor shootout in Tenn. in April 2005 three major motor manufactures Mercury Marine, Evinrude Bombardier, and Yamaha competed in a competition using three identical 20DC Bullet Bassboats. The driver and passenger were the same, as well as the fuel and tackle loads on board all three boats. If any boat weighed differently the appropriate weight was added. The test was conducted by Bass & Walleye Mag. with the tech writer John Tiger present as well as personnel from Bullet Boats, Mercury Marine , Yamaha and Bombardier. All motors had to be box stock with same fuel and nose coned water pick-up factory gearcases. The only change that could be made was the prop selection of each motor manufactuer.
When the testing was completed prior to the final shootout the following prop selections were made:
Mercury Marine selected the Hydromotive Eng. Co. Quad IV O/T 143/4"dia. 28"pitch to win the top honors for a speed of 90.0mph on their 225hp Pro XS using a 1.62:1 ratio Sportmaster gear case.
Yamaha selected the Hydromotive Eng. Co. Quad IV X O/B 15.0"dia. 30"pitch. for a speed of 87.8mph on their 225HPDI with the lighting low water pick-up gear case.
Evinrude Bombardier E-Tech ran the fastest by 1mph using the same Hydromotive Eng. Co.'s prop as Yamaha ran beating out the lab finished 30"pitch Raker. However Evinrude could not run their new Magnum gearcase ( not released for production as of test date ). As a result, their speeds were lower with their older Lighting non pick-up gearcase and Evinrude decided to stick with the Raker. Had Evinrude been able to run the Magnum low pick-up case , they would have faired well.
Hydromotive Eng. Co. wish to thank Bullet Boats and Reid Cox for all their time and effort in hosting the shootout as well as testing over 200 propellers on all three boats. We also wish to thank Mercury Marine and Yamaha Motors for selecting props from Hydromotive.
Congratulations to Julie Hale and her crew from Steel Development in England, for propping out and lab finishing a pair of Hydromotive P-5X five blades used to set a new record for powered rib boats under 30ft. around the Isle of Great Britain. The boat " Hot Lemon" is shown during the record run.
Also, congratulations again to Steel Development for being nominated along with four other companies in England by the IPC Media Awards for outstanding products and service. This award is the " Oscar" of the marine industry. We at Hydromotive Engineering Co. are proud to be represented by Steel Developments with our complete propeller product line.
Congratulations to Andreas Halkiopoulos and team for winning the Greek Rib Offshore Championship. Andreas and team used Hydromotive Propellers exclusively to dominate their series championship. Team Hydromotive wishes you continued success and safety in the upcoming year.
Greek Rib Offshore Championship races results:
Location - Date - Distance - Time - Average Speed - Position - Weather Condition
Rhodes - April - 45 miles - 33min 40sec - 80.19 mph - 1st overall and in class - 0.5m waves
Corfu - June - 60 miles - No - No (DNF Drive shaft failure) - 1m wave
Crete - September - 75 miles - 53min 50sec - 83.6 mph - 1st overall and in class - Calm

Congratulations to Vittorio and Team Galata on their most recent victory. We are proud to announce that their prop of choice was a Hydromotive Quad-1V race prepped propeller. The gang at Hydromotive wish you continued success, and appreciate you running Hydromotive Propellers.

Hi Thom, The racing season 2005 is over here in Finland. We made it well, I think: our 2nd year racing and we got 3rd place in U.I.M. European Championship Race with your prop. It's 4-blade Intimidator Quad IV O/T solid hub 14 3/4 x 30 semi lab race prep trailing edges only. Suits perfectly in our Finnish made Argo cat 22 with Yamaha 200 VMax 2.6 litres. In the European Championships we beat Bjorn Lindh from Sweden. He was using your 3-blade (I guess) Intimidator III in his Eurocat & Yamaha 200 Vmax 2.6 Litres. I wonder if ours is the first podium for Yamaha engine in the U.I.M. C-class ever? On top of that we also became 3rd in the Finnish National 2 litre class series. You'll find attached a photo of us in the European Championship Race Kotka Finland this summer.

The Round Britain Attempt of "Hot Lemon", Skipper: Mike Deacon, powered his way through some tough seas to snatch the Under 30ft category record from Tony Jenvey. Mike and crew were timed in at 31 hours 22 minutes shaving some 108 minutes off Tony`s attempt in June 2003. The race team was using a pair of Hydromotive Engineering P-5 X five blade propellers labbeb out by our distributor Steel Development in England.
Both the above are subject to ratification by the RYA and UIM, as both attempts warrant national and world records.
Setting out from Lymington at 3:00am on Thursday 11 August, Mike Deacon, a local businessman, together with his son David, blasted his boat across the start line. The slight seas endured through to the first re-fuelling point at 12:25 in Bangor, Northern Ireland, and beyond. Keen to round the North of Scotland in daylight, Hot Lemon V drew into Peterhead for the second refuelling stop at 20:30.
The voyage then proved even more challenging with unpredictable winds and on his return Mike said, “The North Sea was rough but, knowing the boat could handle it, we just kept the throttle on at 50 knots”.
Mike is a seasoned Round Britain World record breaker. In 2001 in Hot Lemon III, he established new Round Britain World record times for all powerboats. In 2002, in Hot Lemon IV, Mike improved the 30ft to 50ft record, and now in 2005, Mike has set a new under 30 foot World record in Hot Lemon V.

We apologize for missing many of the competitors at the Worlds that placed anywhere from 2nd on down. We are working with APBA to try to get the names of all the boats using Hydromotive props. If you are one of those competitors using our propellers and finished in the top 5, please let us know so we may include your names. Keep in mind, if you register with APBA to partake in our contingency program, and are running our propellers with our decals on your boat, you are entitled to a $100, $75, and $50 for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Places respectively for products and services.
